Role Overview
The Team Leader will play a key role in leading an operative-level team and will be accountable for health & safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery standards within the area. This is a hands‑on leadership position within a fast‑paced FMCG environment, supporting operational excellence and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team at operative level
- Promote strong leadership, communication and organisational standards
- Monitor staffing levels and act upon staffing requirements
- Ensure all team members are trained to a competent level to carry out duties safely and correctly
- Maintain appropriate skill levels within the team
- Ensure all hygiene systems and relevant paperwork are completed accurately and on time
- Analyse, review and communicate team performance regularly
- Understand and implement effective cleaning practices
- Manage staff rotas and holidays using TMS
- Understand and support environmental and allergen swabbing regimes
- Step up to Manager role to provide cover during holiday periods
- Promote a professional and positive attitude at all times
