Church and Community Fundraising Officer
Christian Aid Ireland is seeking to recruit someone who is passionate about ending global poverty and equipping Churches and communities to take action in response to inequality and injustice. You will be an experienced fundraiser, motivated by your faith, and you will need to have a proven ability to fundraise, be well organised, self‑motivated, and have great attention to detail. As a confident public speaker, communicator, and natural networker, you’ll inspire individuals and congregations alike to engage, give, and take meaningful action for change.
We cannot offer a contract to anyone based permanently outside Northern Ireland.
- Relevant degree or 3–4 years equivalent working experience
- Knowledge, understanding and commitment to work with the range of Christian Aid’s sponsoring churches across Ireland
- Experience of fundraising or marketing, with proven ability to analyse associated data and meet targets
- Proven ability to build relationships in order to motivate response and action, working effectively with a wide range of people including volunteers, clergy and colleagues
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, networking and presentation skills
- Exemplary organisational skills with an ability to prioritise and organise own workload, using own initiative and seeking support when required
- Confident to deliver presentations highlighting Christian Aid’s work, including sermons and children’s addresses in churches, and facilitating sessions for church and community groups
- Experience of using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Ability to drive to engagements across Ireland
- Ability to work evenings and weekends regularly
