Description

Calling all sparkies, fitters and mechanics – we\’re building a team for an industrial project starting in August, and we need all hands on deck!

What\’s in it for you:

  • Short and sweet fixed-term project (with optional extension)
  • Young, highly skilled engineers who love a bit of banter
  • 50 hour weeks Mon-Fri + Saturdays if you want them
  • Majority of tools and PPE provided and free parking on-site
  • Permanent full-time position for the right person

About the project:

We are excited to have partnered with a local automation engineering company to build a support team for a 12 week industrial plant installation in Harewood, kicking off in August and running through til October.

You\’ll be assisting the core team of sparkies, fitters and welders and the work will involve the likes of cable pulling and cable tray, and installing chutes, conveyors and motors – so we\’re looking for competent tradespeople preferably with either an electrical or engineering background. We will also consider relevant experience outside of these fields.

As well as trade skills, a great attitude and work ethic are key. Our goal is to build a team that works like a well-oiled machine and can be reassembled for future projects – we have one job lined up to follow this already and more in the pipeline being priced. If you love the work and they love you, there\’s even potential for this to evolve into a permanent position.

What we are looking for:

  • Electrical, mechanical or other relevant trade experience
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to do 50 hour weeks
  • Excellent communication and teamwork
  • Great attitude and sense of humour
  • EWP and SiteSafe tickets beneficial but not essential

Please apply online now, or fire your CV through to mailto:christchurch@heights.nz

Applicants may be required to undertake pre-employment Alcohol and drug testing.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa – sponsorship is not available.
