Position Overview: Full‑time Humanities Teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year. The role will focus on a comprehensive writing program through a progressive pedagogical lens that uses literature to strengthen writing and rhetoric. Ideal candidates will be collaborative, interested in curriculum development, and embrace a student‑centered approach to teaching and the boarding school model.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement a progressive writing curriculum that integrates literature.
  • Collaborate on curriculum design and pedagogy.
  • Lead an advisory group of 7‑10 students.
  • Participate in a duty team one evening per week and 5‑6 weekends per year.
  • Engage in two seasons of co‑curricular activities (athletics, stage, fitness).

Qualifications:
