Christ the King Sixth Forms is a family of three highly successful Catholic sixth forms located in south east London and Kent. In 2023, the Sixth Forms was rated Good with Outstanding features by Ofsted. CTK offers exceptional, expert teaching in a welcoming, friendly atmosphere, each CTK sixth form creates an environment where high achievement is promoted and attained.
We are now seeking to appoint inspirational Trainee Teachers of Science (Physics and Chemistry). These are one-year training positions starting on 1 September 2026. You must be committed to train as an active and innovative teacher and be passionate about your subject. The course pathway leads to the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Alongside your training, you will work as a teacher in a well-resourced department that provides an exciting environment in which to deliver and develop your skills as a teacher. You will be allocated a mentor for your training year; this will be an experienced subject specialist that has been trained to support your development.
The Borromeo Training Hub is a London Regional Hub for the “outstanding ITT provider” Xavier Teach SouthEast, who have partnered with four Sixth Form Colleges across the London region to provide training for the development of confident and competent professionals, who will become outstanding teachers of tomorrow. Trainees are well prepared through first-rate placements, which ensure that they gain substantial practical experience.
