Christ the King Catholic School is a high-performing, future-focused Year 1â8 Catholic school committed to providing a rich, faith-filled education where every learner is known, valued and supported. An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Christ the King team as a Scale A, Year 1 classroom teacher, working alongside 22 wonderful Year 1 students.
We are seeking a teacher who will contribute positively to the life of our school, build strong relationships with students, staff and whÄnau, and actively contribute to the wider life of Christ the King Catholic School.
At Christ the King, our core approaches in Literacy and Numeracy are well supported, well resourced, and grounded in evidence-based practice:
- Reading â iDeaL Structured Literacy
- Writing â Dr Ian Hunterâs The Writerâs Toolbox
- Mathematics â Oxford Mathematics and Statistics
Staff are expected to recognize, respect and support the schoolâs Catholic special character and be actively involved in the total life of the school, in a manner that respects the religious instruction given and religious observances practised within the school.
