Office/Admin Manager in Swindon

Christ the King College is seeking to appoint an experienced, highly organised and confident Office/Admin Manager to lead our Administrative Support Team and oversee the effective day-to-day operation of the College office and administrative services. As a joint Church of England and Catholic secondary college, we provide a distinctive faith-based education centered on Christian values. Our community aims to support every student in becoming "the best they can possibly be," and our support staff play an essential role in keeping our learning environments productive, safe, and inspiring. This is an important operational role within the College. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership to our administrative team and take responsibility for ensuring that our office, reception, communications, events and key administrative systems operate efficiently and provide a high-quality service to students, parents, staff and visitors. As someone who interacts daily with our school community, you will act as an exceptional role model for our students, demonstrating outstanding personal presentation, reliable attendance, and high standards of professional conduct. Above all, you must have a proactive attitude toward your own professional development, a thorough commitment to safeguarding, and a desire to work in alignment with the distinctive Christian mission, ethos, and values of Christ the King College. We are particularly interested in candidates who have substantial administrative experience within the public sector or a public-service environment, ideally within a school or other educational setting. You will need to be an effective and supportive team leader, with experience of supervising or managing staff, allocating workloads and developing effective administrative systems and working practices. Excellent IT skills are essential. You should be a confident user of word processing, spreadsheets and electronic administrative/data systems, with the ability to manage information accurately and efficiently. Experience of Microsoft 365 applications and school management information systems would be particularly welcome. The successful candidate will be someone who:

3. has excellent IT skills, particularly in word processing, spreadsheets and data systems;
4. can identify opportunities to improve administrative systems and processes;

7. understands the importance of confidentiality and professional discretion;
8. remains calm and professional in a busy environment; and
