The Christ Place Worship Director provides leadership over weekend worship and creative arts at Christ Place Church’s broadcast campus, cultivating engaging, Spirit-led, and culturally aligned worship experiences that reflect the mission of the church. This relational leader sets the tone for encountering God’s presence through worship, while overseeing music, volunteers, staff, and production quality, and collaborating with multi-site teams to create an atmosphere of worship and creativity that leads people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide visionary oversight and direction to the adult music and worship at the broadcast location.
- Ensure worship, music and the arts are executed with a genuine passion for God’s presence along with a high level of excellence.
- Scriptural adherence is practiced.
- Content is updated regularly to ensure freshness and cultural continuity.
- Production value is maintained at the highest level.
- Rehearsals are routinely scheduled and led in a timely fashion.
- Proprietary software is fully utilized for scheduling within the department and service application.
- Creativity is exercised in support of the preaching content.
- Lead and supervise any departmental staff.
- Manage the department budget.
- Oversee the recruitment, development, and training of volunteer teams.
- Team members are growing in the use of their specific giftings (i.e., musicianship, technical proficiency, vocal abilities).
- Promote a discipleship-making culture within the department.
Church and multi-site Ministry
- Be an active part of the adult service experience.
- Collaborate in the planning and execution of church wide events.
- Provide oversight in the communication to all campuses on music and worship programming as they relate to multi-site events.
- Carry out tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required
- A minimum of 3 years of ministry experience with a demonstrated ability in developing and implementing worship strategies that meet the spiritual needs of the congregation and engage our current culture in seeking the Lord.
- Vocal proficiency appropriate for inspiring and leading music in large scale gatherings.
- The ability to effectively manage conflict and sensitive situations with wisdom and grace.
- Organized with a strong eye for detail to achieve levels of excellence.
- Possess an understanding of music theory and can lead from keys or guitar.
- Growth-oriented with a bias for action.
Preferred
- Credentialed with the Assemblies of God.
- Familiarity with broadcast level production equipment and processes.
- Enjoys challenges and seeks to raise the level of effectiveness within the department.
