About the Role

As a Level 3 TeachingAssistant, you will be a vital part of our team, helping children overcomebarriers to learning and thrive both academically and personally. Your rolewill include:

  • Working under the guidance of teachers to support learning in theclassroom and, when needed, supervise classes for short-term, pre-plannedcover.
  • Delivering structured support for pupils, including contributingto Individual Education, Behaviour and Support plans and guided readingsessions.
  • Supporting teachers with planning, assessment and accuraterecording of pupil progress.
  • Providing pastoral support; assist with pupils’ personal needs,first aid and wellbeing practises.
  • Accompanying pupils on visits and extracurricular activities andhelp run out-of-class provision (breaks, lunchtimes) as required.
  • Using ICT to support learning and help develop pupils’ confidencewith technology.
  • Encouraging resilience, independence, and confidence in our pupils
  • Contributing to the school’s high standards of behaviour andachievement

This is a hands-on role where you will have direct impact onpupils’ learning and wellbeing every day, offering a meaningful chance todirectly impact children’s lives and be part of a caring, forward-thinkingschool community.

About You

We are looking for someonewho:

  • Has a genuine passion for working with young children andsupporting their learning journeys
  • Is patient, caring, and enthusiastic, with a positive andproactive attitude
  • Holds a Level 3 qualification (NVQ or equivalent) in supportingteaching and learning
  • Has experience working with children with additional needs,including communication challenges
  • Understands the primary curriculum and can adapt support to meetdiverse pupil needs
  • Works well as part of a team and values collaboration
  • Has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Holds high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
