Are you an experienced Site Manager or just looking for a new challenge? If so, a fantastic opportunity has arisen at our school. We require a reliable, practical, cheerful, friendly, proactive and well-motivated person to take on the management, maintenance and improvement of our school sites. Christ Church C of E Primary School is located over two sites within the residential ‘Groves’ area in New Malden. Our school has super children, a friendly, hard-working staff, a supportive parent community and a strong Christian ethos at its heart.
The role is to site-manage both our sites, which are within walking distance of each other and includes residential accommodation located next to the infant site. You will split your time between the sites and be a familiar face for the whole school community.
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
- Premises maintenance
- Management of the security of the buildings and site and managing our cleaning contractors
- Ensuring that the inside and outside environment are well maintained, well-presented and meeting health and safety requirements
- Close liaison with our School Business Manager
You’ll bring:
- Experience of working in a school or similar environment
- Ability to identify, monitor and complete minor repairs, maintenance, and redecoration
- Good communication skills to work effectively with staff, governors, pupils, contractors, and external users of the school premises
- Strong time management and the ability to meet deadlines
- Computer literacy, with the ability to use email and Word
- Aware of moving and handling procedures and be physically capable of performing the manual tasks of the role (e.g. lifting, shifting, snow clearing)
- Sound knowledge of health & safety and hygiene procedures and precautions
- Aware of statutory regulations and being able to apply that knowledge appropriately

Hours: 36 hours per week 52 weeks a year with 25 days annual leave
Pattern of work: am & 2.30-6.00pm Monday to Friday - these are the suggested hours of work; however, alternatives could be discussed during interview.
