We are a small family run gardening business who carry out both private work and subcontract to a large landscaping company, working on new build sites. We require a motivated hard working individual with garden maintenance experience to work alongside others to carry out various garden maintenance duties on new build sites for 2 days a week initially, with the potential to increase to 3 days a week. You need to have a full UK driving licence and be able to drive vans up to 3.5 tons. Ideally, you would hold a valid CSCS card, but this is not essential. You will work throughout Tyneside, Durham and Northumberland.
Duties would include:
- Grass cutting
- Pruning
- Planting
- Strimming
- Weeding
Different pieces of equipment will be used, so a good understanding of how to use this equipment and of health and safety will be needed. We are looking for someone to work from April to the start of November. The candidate needs to be 25 years old or older for van insurance.
Skills Required:
- Full UK driving licence
- Able to drive a van
- Able to use mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, amongst others
- Excellent people skills
- Good communication
- Good level of fitness
- Self-motivation and ability to use initiative
- Able to work alone or in a team
- Able to work in all weathers
- Good time keeping
