Chris Main Ltd is an Independent Recruiter that operates in the house building sector, with over 20 years of experience assisting developers across the UK. My client is a PLC developer and a 5 star builder. They have a new opportunity for an experienced conveyancer to join the team of 30 in the legal team at the office in York.
This role involves:
- Reporting to a Company Solicitor and Legal Manager
- Direct responsibility for managing and running a case load of plot sales (including part-exchange acquisitions and resales) for a Group operating company or companies
- Ensuring that the caseload is managed and conducted efficiently so as to achieve exchanges within the required timescales
- Preparing individual plot documentation and Part Exchange title reports using Persimmon standard forms
- Monitoring caseload and preparing reports as required
- Attending meetings with sales teams to review caseload
- Dealing with lease/transfer variations and reversion sales
- Dealing with the recovery of retentions (non-litigious)
- Dealing with post completion matters such as SDLT returns and Land Registration where necessary
- Working in a team and monitoring any Conveyancing Assistant on a daily basis
- Carrying out AML Checks
- Conducting work using the firm’s case management system
The salary is £25K to £35K dependent on experience with life cover, health, 25 days holiday and a bonus. The role is working in the office with two days per week from home once 6 month probation is completed.
