A little about you

You will have a minimum 5 years' experience in the Electronic Fire and/or Security industry and a proven background in high end Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, PAVA, Access Control or Door Entry Systems. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this role would suit a highly organised individual with strong leadership skills, the ability to supervise a team of engineers, ensure systems are compliant with regulations, provide technical support, and act as point of escalation to incidents. The successful candidate will assess team skills and training needs, reporting weekly to ensure ongoing requirements are met.

What are we expecting from you?

  • Supervision - Leading a team of fire and security engineers, overseeing day-to-day operations, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and support.
  • System Installation and Maintenance – Champion compliant processes across our service team by promoting standards and developing processes in accordance with NSI standards. Deliver regular Toolbox Talks ensuring they meet required standards and present further improvement proposals to the Head of Engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out more complex maintenance visits where appropriate.
  • Technical Support - Working with the technical team to root cause common issues and present improvement proposals to the Head of Engineering. Escalate complex problems as appropriate.
  • Incident Response - Responding to alarms, incidents, and security breaches, coordinating appropriate responses, and reporting incidents, ensuring that our SLA’s are met.
  • Compliance and Quality - Ensuring systems are compliant with relevant regulations and standards, conducting quality control checks, and maintaining accurate records. Be part of large site handover from projects to ensure we produce detailed and compliant install documentation for smooth servicing and fault finding in the future. A bare minimum would be system size, make and model and assets detailed.
  • Client Liaison – Champion interactions with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Health and Safety - Maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations, and promoting a safety-conscious culture in conjunction with the Head of Engineering and HR.
  • Training and Development – Ongoing support on the training and development of team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
