The successful candidate will play an important part in improving stock control, reducing routine preparation work for Engineering, and making sure equipment leaves Stores correctly labelled, checked, configured where appropriate and ready for installation.

- Maintain accurate stock records, including stock movements, returns and allocations.
- Support clear Stores processes, housekeeping standards and quality controls.
- Apply the correct CL labels and ensure equipment is prepared, checked and installation ready.
- Complete repeatable pre-installation tasks such as firmware updates, basic system initialisation and suitable pre-configuration after appropriate training.
- Connect, initialise and onboard suitable
- equipment to relevant cloud platforms where required.
- Work with Engineering to identify further repeatable technical tasks that can be safely transferred into Stores.
- Escalate technical issues appropriately and maintain clear preparation and configuration records.
About you
You will be methodical, practical and confident working with technical products or systems.
You may already have experience in Stores, warehouse, stock control, IT hardware, electronic security, fire, CCTV, access control, intruder systems or another technical environment.
Just as importantly, you will have the attitude and attention to detail needed to follow technical processes accurately and keep equipment preparation moving to a high standard.
You will be proactive in spotting improvements, comfortable using digital records and device setup tools, and able to communicate clearly with both Stores and Engineering colleagues.
This role would suit someone who enjoys creating order, improving processes and developing broader technical skills over time.
- We are particularly interested in people who have
- Experience working with technical equipment, electronic products, security systems, IT hardware or similar.
- Strong organisation skills and a disciplined approach to stock accuracy and process compliance.
- Confidence following structured instructions and completing repeatable configuration tasks.
- A willingness to learn firmware upgrades, device onboarding, pre-configuration and cloud-managed equipment processes.
- Experience working with or alongside engineers, service teams or project teams.
