We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Portfolio Investment Manager to join our growing Venture Capital team in the East Midlands. This is an exciting opportunity to work with high-growth, innovative businesses and play a key role in driving value across a diverse investment portfolio. You will be responsible for managing and supporting portfolio companies post-investment, working closely with founders and senior leadership teams to accelerate growth, improve performance, and deliver successful exits.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of venture investments across multiple sectors
- Build strong relationships with founders, CEOs, and senior stakeholders
- Provide strategic guidance to portfolio companies on growth, scaling, and operations
- Monitor financial performance, KPIs, and risk across investments
- Support follow-on funding rounds, refinancing, and exit processes
- Work closely with the investment team on new deal flow and due diligence
- Represent the firm at board meetings and act as a trusted advisor
About You
- Proven experience in venture capital, private equity, corporate finance, or investment management
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills
- Experience working with high-growth or early-stage businesses
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Commercially driven with a hands-on, value-creation mindset
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Board-level or observer experience
- Sector experience in technology, life sciences, or clean energy
