The role involves producing management accounts, management information, and manufacturer returns in a format that enables effective decision-making by management.
Responsibilities include:
- Producing monthly site and consolidated management accounts to specified deadlines.
- Familiarizing the Financial Controller and General Managers with down areas.
- Ensuring all control accounts are reconciled monthly.
- Reconciling certain stock accounts monthly with physical counts.
- Adhering to accounting procedures throughout the department and the company.
- Undertaking internal audits as required.
- Preparing and submitting manufacturer returns.
- Consolidating group profit forecasts weekly, quarterly, and on an ad-hoc basis.
- Analyzing and comparing financial and non-financial key indicators, presenting findings to management.
- Assisting with working capital management, including controlling funding/loan accounts and forecasting cash flow.
- Preparing statutory year-end accounts and supporting documentation.
- Drafting budgets (capital and revenue) in collaboration with General Managers and the Financial Controller.
- Participating in management meetings and training sessions.
- Providing financial advice to General and Line Management.
- Operating the Kerridge system.
