We are looking for an experienced Head of Development/Design Manager for a key client based in the Midlands area. This is a senior role within the technical design department, working with a team of technical/CAD and development designers of mixed levels and abilities. As a business, they continue to go from strength to strength, with some fantastic new clients combined with existing long-standing clients.

Overview

We are actively seeking a talented Design Development Manager/Head of Development candidate for one of our key clients in the Midlands area. This is a permanent, full-time role with plenty of opportunity to grow and develop, with a business that supports internal promotion and career progression.

What We Are Looking For:

  1. Fluent with 3D solid modelling software such as SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Inventor, or similar software to produce technical designs and drawings for retail display equipment.
  2. Proactively lead, develop and manage the design team, providing first-class assistance and oversight on a range of design projects.
  3. Manage CAD files and the design workflow.
  4. Ensure all materials sourced are fit for purpose, and oversee all workflow coming in and going out of the department.

What Skills You Should Have:

  1. Proficient using the required software: e.g. SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Inventor, and other design software.
  2. Strong understanding of technical design principles and best practices.
  3. Able to manage and lead teams of varying disciplines.
  4. Excellent communication skills at all levels and experience dealing directly with the client.
