Job Details

You will be responsible for leading the design and development of mechanical systems for building services projects, including HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection and more.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct feasibility studies and collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to determine project requirements and objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring that all mechanical systems are designed, installed and commissioned to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor project progress and budgets, identifying and addressing any potential risks or issues.
  • Participate in tender preparation and client presentations to secure new projects and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, advancements and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions into project designs.
  • Promote sustainability and energy‑efficient practices in mechanical system designs.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven track record as a Mechanical Engineer within the services engineering sector, preferably with experience in London.
  • In‑depth knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection and other mechanical systems relevant to building services.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and IES.
  • Familiarity with UK building codes, regulations and sustainability standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
