We are looking for a Project Manager (Sustainability) to manage and deliver retrofit capital projects funded by the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF). They will also oversee the implementation of energy efficiency measures across various locations, ensuring projects are completed cost-effectively and on time, while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.
What you'll be doing
- Deliver retrofit capital projects, after securing funding from the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF).
- Deliver the SHDF project across several locations, implementing a range of measures from cavity wall insulation, heating improvements to external wall insulation.
- Review or produce proposals and make recommendations for increasing energy efficiency and decarbonisation on relevant schemes, whilst ensuring value for money is achieved.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budget for the SHDF project; raising orders and variations and agreeing interim/final accounts, maintaining/monitoring expenditure records, forecasting the budget spend to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely completion of projects.
- Ensure the appointed contractor and professional team are fully aware of the Trustmark procedure, taking the lead on receiving all documentation and test certificates as required.
What we are looking for
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
- Experience of delivering asset transformation projects from inception to completion in a formal project management environment.
- Experience of delivering housing maintenance and construction projects to time, budget, and quality.
- Understand the principles and requirements of PAS 2030 and 2035 with clear knowledge of the Retrofit Assessor and Coordinator roles.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to fully unlock contractor and supplier potential and achieve rapid delivery through others.
- Innovation and problem solving to ensure that opportunities to deliver are maximised whenever possible.
