We are looking for an Income and Allocations Assistant to provide essential administrative support to our Income & Allocations team. You will mainly have telephone contact with our customers; however, there will be some face-to-face contact within the office. You will also work closely with the Tenancies, Customer Ambassadors and Built Environment teams to ensure excellent customer service.
What you'll be doing
- Assist Income Officers with monitoring Universal Credit verifications, former tenant and car parking rent accounts.
- Assist the team and wider directorate with administrative duties which will include arranging customer homes visits, confirmation letters, arranging meetings, recording notes and outcomes, and updating Officers.
- Give advice and support to customers and other social landlords regarding our mutual exchange cases.
- Assist the team with enquiries regarding housing applications from our customers and Local Authorities.
- Keeping our client record systems up to date.
What we are looking for
- Excellent ICT / MS Office skills.
- The ability to organise your own workload whilst juggling conflicting priorities and ensuring deadlines are met
- The ability to work as part of a team and build effective working relationships with a variety of people
- An understanding of confidentiality and the ability to deal sensitively with difficult situations.
- Previous experience in customer service and liaising with customers by phone when required.
Please note the office expectancy of this role is as follows: This role will require you in full time initially for a period of training before moving to hybrid working where the office requirement is a minimum of 2 days a week or as per business need.

- 37 hours per week - employees may be able to work flexibly by agreement with their line manager, taking account of business need. We operate a hybrid working policy at Delta Housing Ltd.
