About the role
Chotto Matte Manchester are looking for an organised, experienced and fast-paced Goods Receiver to help support our bar operations. You’ll need proven experience and strong administration skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect all incoming deliveries to ensure quantity, quality, and condition match purchase orders and standards.
- Check temperature-sensitive items upon arrival to comply with safety regulations.
- Verify delivery documentation (invoices, packing slips) against orders and report discrepancies or damages immediately.
- Label, date, and organize inventory according to FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures to maintain freshness.
- Coordinate with bar and purchasing teams to ensure timely and accurate receiving of products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving dock and storage areas (walk-ins, dry storage, freezers).
- Input received goods into inventory systems or logs to keep records up-to-date and accurate.
- Monitor and report stock shortages, spoilage, or overstock to reduce waste and support efficient ordering.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards during receiving and storage processes.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers for returns, replacements, or delivery issues.
Other duties / Periodical deep cleaning:
- Emptying waste bins and recyclables and transporting waste to disposal area.
Preferred experience
- High volume restaurant experience
- COSSH / HACCP training
- Basic experience with Market Man or a similar platform
Physical demands
