The role
As a Senior Resource Manager, you will lead the strategic workforce planning function across Blick Rothenberg, overseeing Resource Managers and their teams. You will drive alignment of resource deployment with business priorities, client demands, and talent development, ensuring the firms capability and capacity meet market needs. Collaborating with partners, HR, and business leaders, you will leverage data-driven insights to shape and execute workforce strategies that optimise operational efficiency, quality delivery, and career progression within the firm.
Leading the design and execution of strategic workforce planning initiatives across practices starting with Audit and Tax to ensure agile, effective, and client-responsive resource deployment. Building and developing a high-performing team of Resource Managers, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and proactive talent stewardship. Partnering with senior leaders and partners to forecast resourcing needs, drive headcount planning, and inform key business decisions through robust analytics and insightful reporting. Managing fair and transparent work allocation processes that promote balanced workloads, skills development, and succession planning within practices. Establishing governance frameworks that ensure consistency and quality in workforce planning and deployment. Collaborating with Human Capital, recruitment, and compliance teams to manage workforce transitions, visa processes, and strategic talent acquisition initiatives. Proactively identifying workforce risks and addressing underperformance with strategic, data-informed solutions that drive productivity, engagement, and long-term performance.
We Require
- Extensive experience in resource or workforce planning within professional services, with a strong understanding of the operational demands of audit and tax functions.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders, including firm partners and HR leaders, at a strategic level.
- Strong analytical mindset with commercial awareness; adept at using data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Power BI to convert workforce data into actionable business insights.
- Resilient and adaptable, with a collaborative leadership approach that performs well under pressure in fast‑paced, client‑oriented environments.
- Passionate about talent development, with a track record of leading and coaching teams through accountability, clarity of vision, and a focus on continuous improvement.
