We’re looking for two seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our Chorley based “StreetScene” team. In this role, you’ll work all around Chorley, caring for community spaces, parks and streets.
What you’ll be getting up to
- In the varied role, you’ll get involved in a variety of Streetscene tasks including mowing, weeding, edging, strimming, hedge maintenance, litter collection and more.
- Carry out soft landscaping, fine turf care, tree work and sports pitch maintenance.
- Get involved with street cleansing tasks such as removal of fly‑tipping.
- Always maintain health and safety protocols while working.
- Operate grounds maintenance tools and vehicles.
- Respond to minor emergencies such as flooding, obstructions and damaged street furniture.
Who we’re looking for
- You’ll be helping keep community spaces looking their best, so we’re looking for someone who can truly take pride in their work.
- A team player.
- You’ll be operating various vehicles, so you’ll need a valid driving licence.

- This role requires some travel around our boroughs, and you should have a valid driving licence.
