Job Title: Neighbourhood Operative
Location: Moss Side Depot, Leyland
Salary: £25,989 – £26,403
Hours: 36.25 per week
Contract: Full time / Fixed term (12 months)

Are you looking for a permanent role within local government? Are you looking for a role that involves working outside, somewhere that you can really take some pride in your work?
We are looking for a Grounds Operative to join our borough-based cleansing teams. In this role, you will be working all around the borough in an extremely varied role, looking after the borough’s community spaces, parks, and streets. You will be ensuring that they are in perfect condition for the residents, wider community, and visitors to the borough.
What will your role include?
- You will get involved with Grounds Maintenance tasks such as grass cutting local areas.
- To complete daily schedules utilizing digital platforms.
- Always maintaining health and safety protocols whilst working.
- Operate Grounds tools and vehicles such as mowers, hedge trimmers etc.
- Responding to minor emergencies such as flooding and obstructions.
Who we are looking for?
- You will be helping keep community spaces looking their best, so we are looking for someone who can really take pride in their work.
- A team player and good communicator!
- You will be operating various vehicles in this role, so you will need to have a valid clean driving licence.
