About The Role
Role: Senior IT Applications Analyst
Location: South Ribble and Chorley Councils
Contract: Full time (36.25 hours per week) / Permanent
Salary: £39,862 – £40,777

South Ribble and Chorley Councils are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior IT Applications Analyst to lead the development, optimisation, and support of our business systems. This role is crucial in ensuring our digital solutions are robust and aligned with our organisational objectives.
What you\\\’ll be getting up to
- You\\\’ll play a key role in the planning, configuration, and enhancement of the council\\\’s line of IT business systems.
- Collaborate with services and suppliers to identify, design and implement systems and process improvements.
- Deliver complex systems projects from inception to completion.
- Provide expert technical advice, troubleshooting and IT system support.
- Support the training of staff in relation to business systems & data. Promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain and develop documentation and data sets.
Who we\\\’re looking for
- You\\\’ll have extensive knowledge and experience of IT business systems.
- Experience with the delivery of IT business system projects.
- A problem solver with a keen eye for detail. You\\\’ll have strong analytical skills and the ability to accurately interpret information.
- You\\\’ll have knowledge of Oracle and SQL backed applications.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
Other requirements
- This role requires some travel around our boroughs. You should have a valid driving licence or the equivalent mobility.
- Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check (applied and paid for by the Council).
