About the job

To carry out cleaning duties throughout the Civic Centre, ensuring all areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.

Duties include vacuuming, dusting, polishing, cleaning washrooms and kitchens, and undertaking other cleaning tasks as required.

  • Carry out cleaning duties throughout the Civic Centre in accordance with agreed schedules, frequencies, and standards.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of internal areas, ensuring they are free from litter, debris, and hazards.
  • Vacuum, dust, polish, and clean floors, furniture, kitchens, washrooms, and other designated areas to a high standard.
  • Ensure washrooms are fully stocked with consumables and report any shortages promptly.
  • Respond positively and professionally to customer and building user requirements where appropriate.
  • Report any maintenance issues, defects, safety hazards, or unsafe working practices to the Facilities Officers.
  • Follow all relevant health and safety procedures, including the safe use of cleaning equipment and materials.
