About The Role

Location: Leyland Leisure Centre

Contract: Full time (37 hours per week) / Fixed Term Contract (12 months)

Salary: £26,527 - £26,949

We're looking for enthusiastic, vigilant, and customer-focused Lifeguards to join our team at Leyland Leisure Centre. As a Lifeguard, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our customers while helping to create a welcoming, positive and clean environment for all visitors.

What you’ll be getting up to:

  • Supervise pool activities and ensure the safety of all users.
  • Carry out regular poolside checks and maintain high safety standards.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and incidents.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers with enquiries.
  • Support the day-to-day operation and cleanliness of the facility.
  • Assist with setting up activities and maintaining equipment as required.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work evenings and weekends.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining a clean & safe environment
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions

Working Pattern:

Successful applicants will work a mixture of early, day and late shifts on a 5-week rotating rota. Working hours fall within the below operating times:

  • Monday to Friday: 5:45am – 10:30pm
  • Saturday: 8:00am – 6:45pm
  • Sunday: 8:00am – 9:30pm

Flexibility to work across these hours, including weekends and bank holidays, is essential.
