Our new gym is almost ready…want to come work for us? Chorley Leisure have been building a brand new, state of the art gym in All Seasons Leisure Centre. The new, extended gym is split over two floors and will be kitted out with brand new equipment. We are looking to recruit an outstanding Fitness Manager to support a team of Fitness Coaches and ensure our customers receive an exceptional experience to match the new gym space.
As an integral part of the management team, the role is challenging yet rewarding and represents an opportunity to make a significant impact on how the community use the health and fitness facilities in the Chorley Leisure venues. Positivity, accountability, a proactive attitude, and teamwork are at the heart of the Chorley Leisure culture, and we are excited to welcome a new like-minded manager to our team.
What you’ll be getting up to:
- Support the Fitness Coaches and Group Exercise Coordinator in delivering an outstanding experience to our customers
- Work alongside other leaders within Chorley Leisure as an integral part of the management team
- Shape the fitness product offered to the Chorley Community via Chorley Leisure
- Influence the health and wellness of the residents within the Chorley Community through participation and physical activity
- Be proactive in your approach to continuous development and ensure that all health, safety and risk is managed effectively
Who we’re looking for:
- You will have excellent knowledge of the fitness industry
- You will be exceptionally confident and experienced in people management
- You will have a sound understanding of managing a budget and generating profit
- You will be organised and capable of managing a diverse workload
Other requirements:
Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check (applied and paid for by the Council). The following qualifications are essential; CIMSPA Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.

- IOSH Managing Safely
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- First Aid at Work
