What you'll be getting up to:
- You’ll lead end-to-end procurement processes for digital services and IT infrastructure, from tendering and evaluation to contract award and supplier performance management.
- You’ll act as a key interface with Legal, Finance, Procurement, and Service Leads to ensure compliance with public sector regulations and internal governance.
- You’ll oversee the strategic management of council IT assets, ensuring efficient, compliant, and digitally enabled procurement activities.
- You’ll monitor the status of all digital contracts and assets, maintaining accurate inventories and asset tracking using digital tools.
Who we're looking for:
- You’ll have excellent organisational skills.
- You’ll have proven experience in IT Contract Management including software licensing.
- You’ll have experience of the digital and IT market and its supply chains, and working with external third-party suppliers.
- You’ll have strong knowledge of general IT systems including Microsoft Office, database management, and finance systems.
- You’ll have strong analytical skills to assess market options and contracts, with financial acumen to support budgeting and cost control.
Other requirements:
- This role requires some travel around our boroughs. You should have a valid driving licence or the equivalent mobility.
- Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check (applied and paid for by the Council).
