Chorley and South Ribble Council is seeking a dedicated individual to join our dynamic Digital Services team as a Business Systems Officer, focusing on GIS. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the delivery of essential services and contribute to the growth and development of our community.
What you'll be getting up to:
- You’ll be working closely with the business systems and data team to help identify, design, implement and manage systems improvements.
- You’ll manage and maintain the Local Land and Property Gazetteer for the councils, ensuring that the Street Naming and Numbering function is performed in line with statutory obligations and procedures.
- You’ll lead on the development and use of GIS as a corporate resource and a strategic and operational support tool.
- You’ll create and maintain documentation and data sets to support the use of LLPG and GIS across the organisations.
Who we’re looking for:
- You’ll have a relevant qualification or equivalent experience in GIS Mapping.
- You’ll have experience of working with GIS applications and data including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS online, QGIS and OS datasets.
- You’ll have knowledge of LLPG and associated protocols, policies and requirements.
- You’ll have knowledge of APIs to develop integration with our line of business applications.
