An opportunity for a creative, committed person to join the staff of a forward-thinking charity on the eve of its Centenary, as it prepares to grow and expand its mission and activities. The RSCM has a unique role and strong story to tell; and is looking to build long-term, sustainable increases in income to support its future ambitions.

The successful candidate will design and deliver an overarching fundraising strategy for the RSCM, helping to increase giving at every level and contributing to its Centenary planning. Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing approaches for high-net-worth donors and Friends
  • Preparing applications to trusts and grant funders
  • Providing long-term input into wider fundraising initiatives

Applicants should have a strong record of generating significant income within a charity, educational institution or comparable organisation. They will be able to develop and implement a multi-channel fundraising strategy, use audience insight to inform planning, lead and inspire staff, communicate persuasively, and demonstrate a clear empathy with the RSCM’s mission.
