Help shape the next wave of Chopstix expansion. We are looking for a Mid‑Level CAD Technician to lead with smart, efficient store design.

Role Overview: Chopstix is one of the UK’s fastest-growing Asian-inspired QSR brands, with ambitious expansion plans across the UK and international markets. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Mid‑Level CAD Technician to support the Development and Construction teams in delivering accurate, efficient and brand‑consistent store layouts. This role will focus on producing and maintaining detailed store planning drawings, supporting new site openings, refurbishments and operational improvements across the Chopstix estate. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure all drawings reflect operational requirements, equipment layouts and Chopstix brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Store Planning & Layout Design: Produce and maintain detailed CAD drawings for new Chopstix store layouts, including floor plans, equipment placement and operational flow. Adapt existing layouts to suit different site sizes, landlord requirements and operational needs. Support the optimisation of space planning, ensuring efficient back‑of‑house and front‑of‑house layouts.
  • Development & Construction Support: Prepare drawing packs and technical layouts to support site acquisitions, construction works and refurbishments. Work alongside the Development, Construction and Operations teams to ensure drawings align with equipment specifications, operational processes and brand standards. Support design adjustments during the store development lifecycle, including updates following surveys or contractor feedback.
  • Documentation & Drawing Management: Maintain an organised and up‑to‑date library of CAD drawings and store documentation. Ensure version control and consistency across store planning templates and design standards. Assist in developing standard store formats and layout templates to support efficient rollout across multiple locations.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Liaise with external architects, contractors and consultants where required. Provide drawing support to internal teams to help drive operational consistency and strong customer experience across the Chopstix estate. Contribute ideas to support continuous improvement in store design and operational flow.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience working as a CAD Technician within retail, hospitality, or commercial environments.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
  • Experience creating detailed floor plans, layout drawings and equipment placement plans.
  • Understanding of space planning and operational workflows within retail or food service environments (desirable).
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple drawing updates and revisions.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain structured drawing documentation.
