We are looking for a product-minded rockstar COO who has extensive operational experience in building business ground up, to join our growing team as the right hand person to our CEO. The ideal candidate has strong leadership and analytical skills, preferably having worked their way up to an executive role through product and/or operational roles, and extensive working experience in the Chinese market.
As the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and executing on the company's strategic goals. Working closely with the CEO and other senior leaders, you play a pivotal role in setting strategy, driving growth, building a rockstar team, and ensuring operational excellence. The operations teams and China subsidiaries will report directly to you.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the CEO and executive team to set strategy and execute to achieve profitability and growth.
- Run the operational cadence of the company, including OKR processes, budgeting and staff meetings.
- Scale operations and delivery teams to handle product launches and business development in the Chinese market.
- Oversee the product team to define product strategy, roadmap and processes, ensuring we consistently deliver value to customers by solving actual problems they have.
- Own reporting and data accuracy, holding teams accountable to measure and improve on metrics they own.
- Drive cross functional collaboration across the company, ensuring all teams work effectively together towards the same goals.
- Support the sales team by scaling sales operations and aligning sales with the rest of the company.
- 10+ years of experience leading product, operations or project initiatives in the service industry, preferably at companies from the startup and growth phases.
- Proven experience in a senior management role, having built and led multiple teams in China.
- Deep understanding and expertise in operations and strategy, with a wide breadth of knowledge and experience in product management, delivery, sales, customer success, strategy, and operations.
- Data and business minded. Data is core to how you and your teams make decisions and measure success to achieve business goals.
- Proven ability to deliver on what you say you will do. You hold your team accountable to high standards.
- Top notch communication skills, high EQ and the ability to manage change quickly.
- Team player with a low ego and a robust growth mindset.
- Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin, as our customers are based in China.
- Good education. Master’s degree from a world renown university is highly preferred.
