Choices Homecare are seeking compassionate Domiciliary Care Workers for our locations across the Rotherham region. About Choices Homecare: Choices Homecare is proudly part of the Optimo Care Group that supports service users across the UK with over 1,500 dedicated employees and a strong presence across multiple regions. We collaborate closely with local authorities, healthcare providers, and care professionals to deliver outcome‑focused care.
Working Hours and Contract: Our service provides care 7 days a week between 07:00 – 22:00. We welcome applicants who seek both full‑time and part‑time hours. Please indicate your preference of working days and hours on the prescreen application form. Shifts include:
- Morning – 07:00 to 15:00
- Evening – 15:00 to 22:00
- Full days or weekends only
We’re proud to offer flexible zero‑hour contracts where you can choose to work as many hours as you’d like. This role is paid for care delivery time only, with mileage between calls reimbursed at 30p per mile. It is not a block pay position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting individuals with personal care needs such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
- Assisting with medication administration and documentation in line with care plans.
- Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking where required.
- Promoting independence and encouraging service users to engage in daily living tasks.
- Building positive relationships with individuals and their families.
- Supporting emotional well‑being and recognising signs of distress or changes in behaviour.
- Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in the home.
- Respecting confidentiality and always maintaining professional boundaries.
