Choices Homecare are seeking compassionate Domiciliary Care Workers for our locations across the Rotherham region. Supporting individuals to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own home and community, empowering them to live the life they choose. About Choices Homecare: Choices Homecare are proudly part of the Optimo Care Group that supports service users across the UK with over 1,500 dedicated employees and a strong presence across multiple regions. We collaborate closely with local authorities, healthcare providers, and care professionals to deliver outcome‑focused care.

Working hours: Our service provides care 7 days a week between 07:00 – 22:00. We welcome applicants who seek both full‑time and part‑time hours. Please indicate your preference of working days and hours at the 1st point of contact with our colleagues. We’re proud to offer flexible zero‑hour contracts where you can choose to work as many hours as you’d like. To keep things fair for everyone, we ask for a minimum of 20 hours each week, with every other weekend included. You’ll work on a simple 2‑week rolling rota, so you’ll always know your schedule in advance.

Key Responsibilities of a Care Worker:

  • Supporting individuals with personal care needs such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Assisting with medication administration and documentation in line with care plans.
  • Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking where required.
  • Promoting independence and encouraging service users to engage in daily living tasks.
  • Building positive relationships with individuals and their families.
  • Supporting emotional well‑being and recognising signs of distress or changes in behaviour.
  • Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in the home.
  • Respecting confidentiality and always maintaining professional boundaries.

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience preferred but not essential – full training provided.
  • UK Driving licence and own vehicle is essential within certain routes/locations (We pay 30p per mile fuel allowance).
