We are looking to recruit caring and reliable individuals who are interested in weekend-only work, supporting people in their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Supporting individuals with personal care needs such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
- Assisting with medication administration and documentation in line with care plans.
- Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking where required.
- Promoting independence and encouraging service users to engage in daily living tasks.
- Building positive relationships with individuals and their families.
- Supporting emotional well-being and recognising signs of distress or changes in behaviour.
- Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in the home.
- Respecting confidentiality and always maintaining professional boundaries.
- Supporting individuals to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own home and community, empowering them to live the life they choose.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience preferred but not essential - full training provided.
- UK Driving licence and own vehicle is essential within certain routes/locations (we pay 30p per mile fuel allowance).
- Alternative weekend availability.
- This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must have current and valid permission to work in the UK.
Working pattern and compensation
- Service operates between 7:00am and 10:00pm, with weekend shifts typically offered as:
- Morning shifts: 7:00am - 3:00pm
- Teas and beds shifts: 3:00pm - 10:00pm
- Full-day shifts, depending on your availability
We welcome applications from those who can work either one or both days at the weekend. While availability on both days is helpful, we are particularly keen to hear from applicants who are available on Sundays. Whether you are experienced in care or new to the sector, full training and ongoing support will be provided.
We're proud to offer flexible zero-hour contracts where you can choose to work as many hours as you'd like. Please note: this role is paid for care delivery time only, with mileage between calls reimbursed at 30p per mile. This is not a block pay position.
