We are seeking an organised and proactive Office Administrator to support the day-to-day running of our domiciliary care service. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, supporting care staff, coordinating schedules, and maintaining high standards of communication and compliance. This is a fast-paced and varied role requiring flexibility, strong IT skills, and previous experience within the care sector.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain staff rotas, ensuring care visits are fully covered
- Communicate effectively with care staff, clients, and external professionals
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries in a professional manner
- Maintain accurate client and staff records in line with compliance requirements
- Use IT systems (e.g. care planning software, Microsoft Office) daily
- Support recruitment and onboarding processes (DBS checks, training records, etc.)
- Monitor staffing levels and respond to last-minute changes or issues
- Liaise with healthcare professionals and families where required
- Provide general administrative support to the management team
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Previous experience in a care setting (domiciliary or similar)
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, email systems, care software)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Flexible approach to working hours and duties
