We are seeking an organised and proactive Office Administrator to support the day-to-day running of our domiciliary care service. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, supporting care staff, coordinating schedules, and maintaining high standards of communication and compliance. This is a fast-paced and varied role requiring flexibility, strong IT skills, and previous experience within the care sector.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain staff rotas, ensuring care visits are fully covered
  • Communicate effectively with care staff, clients, and external professionals
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries in a professional manner
  • Maintain accurate client and staff records in line with compliance requirements
  • Use IT systems (e.g. care planning software, Microsoft Office) daily
  • Support recruitment and onboarding processes (DBS checks, training records, etc.)
  • Monitor staffing levels and respond to last-minute changes or issues
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals and families where required
  • Provide general administrative support to the management team

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Previous experience in a care setting (domiciliary or similar)
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, email systems, care software)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible approach to working hours and duties

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in care coordination or rota management
