One Personal Assistant (PA) is required for a gentleman in the HU3 area of Hull. This gentleman is a wheelchair user and needs help with all aspects of his life, including personal care. He does not use speech but can express his feelings. He responds well to cheerful individuals who involve him positively in activities. He enjoys going out for walks, seeing cars and buses, lively music, and being entertained.
His mother is his main carer and will guide the PA on how to assist him, including how to use the hoist required for lifting. The PA role involves two main parts:
- Meeting all aspects of the gentleman's personal care needs, including dressing, washing, toileting, and meals.
- Assisting with domestic tasks that the gentleman cannot do, such as laundry and cleaning.
