Personal Assistant to take a young man swimming and trips out.
A 29-year-old male living in the HU9 area of the city is looking a confident and friendly Personal Assistant. He has a team of PA's and is looking for a PA to cover 9hrs per week + 6 hours once a month on a weekend. There will also be additional hours to cover holidays and sickness.
3 hrs every Thursday. Every other week he swims on a Thursday evening as part of his weekly physical therapy. He loves being in the water and it helps keep him mobile and flexible, the PA will need to be in the water with him. Non swimming weeks, the PA will need to take him bowling, this is his other favourite activity.
3 hrs every Tuesday & Thursday. He attends a day centre in Cottingham and the PA is required to accompany him home. He has a mobility vehicle which the PA can take to Cottingham to collect him in or the PA will need be in Cottingham at 2:15pm to accompany him home in a taxi.
6 hours once a month on either a Sat or Sun to take him out and about. He loves swimming and bowling or just been outdoors, he particularly enjoys village fates and community events., It is important to note that Choices and Rights are not the employer, we act on the employer's behalf and we cannot be held responsible for any actions arising from your employment. He is a happy go lucky young man with a lovely sense of humour. He has Autism, Epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy and is tube fed. Although he is non-verbal he is able to gesture to the things he wants and is able to express his basic needs. Sensitivity and kindness are a must as there is personal care involved. Training will be provided.
A driver is essential as he has a mobility vehicle the PA will need to drive.
