Two reliable, confident and warm-hearted Personal Assistants are required to support a young boy living in the HU6 area of the city. He is an active, curious child who loves soft play, being outdoors, and exploring new places. Your role will be to support him safely in the community – for example at soft play, in the park, or on local outings. Because communication can be challenging for him, you will need to be patient, observant, and willing to learn and respond to his individual communication style. You will provide personal care support as part of the role.
Responsibilities
- Support the child safely during community activities such as soft play, parks, and local outings.
- Assist with personal care tasks as required.
- Communicate effectively using the child’s preferred methods, including colour cues.
- Build trust, maintain consistency, and work independently.
Qualifications
- Calm, kind, and consistent.
- Ability to build trust and connection.
- Confident supporting a child with communication differences.
- Reliable and capable of working independently.
- Experience with children or additional needs is helpful but not essential.
