A Personal Assistant is required for a 13-year-old boy who loves arts and crafts, particularly making things with air-dry clay, colouring in and tracing anime figures to colour in. He likes Minecraft, dinosaurs and loves animals.
Responsibilities:
- Support the boy to go out without family members and grow his independence, accompanying him on activities such as visits to charity shops, cafes, The Deep, cinema, etc.
- Keep him safe; remind him of obstacles in his path as he tends to trip over things and bump into things.
- Adopt a calm, patient, kind and caring manner; avoid a stern tone, which is a huge trigger for him.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Experience with young people and a calm, patient, friendly approach (as described in the role).
