Overview

Personal Assistants needed to help a 15‑Year‑old girl. 2 x PA to cover 2–1 4hrs per week in school holidays HU7 area. 2 X PA are needed to work together to support a young female who is non‑verbal but will make her needs known. PA\'s will need to always supervise her and be aware that she has no sense of danger and try and minimise any risk from harm, you will need to take a wheelchair when out in the community for safety. She will need support with personal care, continence care, nappy change – the young girl will lead you by the hand to make her needs known to you and lead you to places where she wants to be. She enjoys driving in cars where she can sightsee and likes to go swimming; the PA\'s will need to help with getting ready for swimming and support when she comes out the pool. The hours are for 4 hours each PA to work together with the young female, which can be discussed at interview.

Responsibilities

  • Always supervise the young female and be aware that she has no sense of danger and try to minimise any risk from harm.
  • Take a wheelchair when out in the community for safety.
  • Support with personal care, continence care and nappy change as directed by the young girl.
  • Assist with getting ready for swimming and support when she comes out the pool.
  • Lead the young girl by hand to make her needs known and to places where she wants to be.
