Overview

Personal Assistant to support a young boy access the community 4 hours term time 12 hours school holiday, HU7 area.

Responsibilities

  • Take the young boy out after school and plan activities that are physically engaging (e.g., swimming, rock up, trampolining).
  • Ensure the boy has something to eat after school or help make a meal he likes at home.
  • Take the boy to outdoors such as parks or the beach to allow active play.
  • Maintain a supportive and positive environment, being patient, kind, confident and dealing with any situations that may arise.

Qualifications

  • Good physical fitness and active lifestyle.
  • Experience working with children who have ADHD, autism or challenging behaviour is advantageous but not essential (full training will be provided).
  • Genuine interest in working with a disabled child and ability to build a trusting relationship.
  • Must be able to obtain a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check.

  • Ideally a male PA with access to a vehicle; mileage will be met by the employer.
