Role Overview

Personal Assistant to support a young woman to access the community. The direct payment is for 51 hours per week, so will require various PAs to cover the hours in the HU9 area.

Responsibilities

  • Support with transfers from bed to wheelchair to chair; personal care and dressing for the day, toileting, nutrition, and drink preparation.
  • Support with putting callipers on and taking them off.
  • Support with making a packed lunch in the morning for the daughter and escort the young girl to school and pick her up at the end of the school day.
  • Provide social time to access the community to support the woman and her young daughter.
  • Perform some domestic tasks.
  • Provide flexible support, including evenings and weekends; hours can be discussed at interview.
  • Promote independent living and maintain strong relationships based on equality and respect.
