Further Information: A confident and patient Personal Assistant is required to join a team of PA’s supporting a disabled young man in the HU9 area of the city. He has autism, ADHD, OCD and experiences communication difficulties. He is unable to communicate verbally and uses non-verbal communication and therefore his PAs will need to encourage him to use his Now and Next Cards and PECS (Picture exchange communication system. Personal care is involved. Full training and support will be given.
He needs some encouragement to get out and leave the house but when he gets out enjoys going the beach, the parks, particularly the bikes in East Park, going out for lunch and swimming. He also enjoys indoor activities such as sensory play, early learning, jigsaws and playing.
He has a mobility car which the PA will need to be able to drive.

Rate of pay: £12.21
Hours: 16 – 32 hours per week available (can be negotiated at interview)
