Are you a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Choice Teachers are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work within a SECONDARY schools in Wakefield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and helping them reach their full potential.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
- Provide tailored support to children with a range of SEN needs.
- Assist with learning, development and emotional wellbeing.
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff.
- Help create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
- Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
- Support the implementation of individual education and development plans.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working with children with SEN.
- Is patient, empathetic and approachable.
- Can build strong and positive relationships with pupils.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Has a genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
