Choice Teachers are currently working with schools in the Mill Hill area who are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils aged 4 - 16 years old across primary and secondary settings. This SEN Teaching Assistant role offers both long-term opportunities and flexible day-to-day work within supportive school environments.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to support students with a range of special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and build confidence in their learning.
About the Role:- Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
- Support students aged 4 - 16 years old across primary and secondary settings
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Support pupils with needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning needs
- Help maintain a positive and structured learning environment
- Encourage independence, engagement and social development
- Support behaviour management strategies and pastoral development
- Have experience supporting children or young people with SEN
- Be patient, empathetic and supportive in their approach
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be confident supporting students with different learning needs
- Be committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential
