Choice Teachers are seeking a Design and Technology Technician to join a Secondary School in Stockport.
The school has very modern facilities and is rated GOOD by Ofsted. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is keen to work specifically within a creative Technology Department, supporting colleagues whilst they develop the creative minds of the future!
If you are a Design & Technology Technician, or have similar experience with transferrable skills, this role would be perfect for you.
The start date for the role will be from Monday 5th October on a long-term basis, with the opportunity to become permanent. The hours will be Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, set up, and test tools, equipment, and raw materials (such as wood, metal, plastics, and textiles) before classes
- Clear away, clean, and store equipment and materials safely after lessons
- Stock Checking
- Health and safety awareness
- Responsible for the resources
- Supporting the Teacher
Requirements
- DBS Certificate on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
- Two professional references
- Right to work in the UK

- A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
- Experience working in a school or educational setting (desirable but not essential).
