The Role

We are seeking dedicated EHCP Coordinators to join our team in these exciting, newly developed roles. You will coordinate and chair Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Annual Reviews for a caseload of students, whilst also delivering vital careers advice and guidance. Working collaboratively with academic and support teams, you will play a key role in shaping robust career development plans that lead to meaningful, sustained destinations for our students, including paid employment.

Principal Duties

  • Prepare, organise, and manage the EHCP annual review cycle.
  • Advise teaching and support staff on best practices for writing high‑quality summative reports for Annual Reviews.
  • Ensure all summative reports are collated and distributed in strict accordance with statutory deadlines and duties.
  • Contribute to internal quality assurance processes for EHC plans and reviews.
  • Chair EHC plan Annual Reviews and multi‑professional meetings (such as Personal Education Plan/PEP meetings) as required.
  • Conduct impactful 1:1 careers guidance tutorials for a dedicated caseload of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create, monitor, and adapt student career development plans.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Act as a role model, championing a positive culture that embeds the institution's values and ensures students and staff feel safe, valued, and supported.
  • Ensure students are proactively supported to meet their EHCP outcomes and long‑term aspirations across all areas.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and achievement of the Gatsby Benchmarks for world‑class careers guidance.
  • Support internal reporting processes, including contributing to the college Self‑Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
  • Be instrumental in raising the career ambitions and aspirations of students with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential: A minimum of Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in GCSE English and Mathematics.

Desirable: A PGCE or relevant teaching/careers guidance qualification.
