Teacher of English (0.8 FTE) St Albans School Start Date: September 2026
St Albans School, a high-performing and ambitious state school with an excellent reputation for academic achievement and student development, is seeking an outstanding Teacher of English to join our successful and supportive English Department from September 2026.
This is a 0.8 FTE position, working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday each week.
We are looking for a passionate and skilled practitioner who can inspire a love of literature and language, deliver engaging and challenging lessons, and secure excellent outcomes for students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach English Language and English Literature to a high standard is essential.
The successful candidate will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for English.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom practice and high expectations for all learners.
